Spoiler is blank for me.
Spoiler is blank for me.
- Latest chapter, sheer awesomeness.
- OP beat its own record. Volume 57 first print is getting 3 Million.
Just a bunch of stuff I’ve had bookmarked or knew about.
Lots of reasons to show how better One Piece is compared to Naruto and Bleach. Putting the Fanboy side of me away.
I dont expect many people to sit and read it but just put it here so i can link to people in future :eusa_danc
- Best Selling Manga Ever, This table is slightly out dated now since it came out last year but its sold something like 188m last time there was an announcement. Table in spoiler according to this at the time you had to put Naruto and Bleach sales together to get close to One Piece sales.
In 2009 It was the best selling manga aswell with 14,721,241 copies compared to Naruto 6,836,494 and Bleach 6,471,021. Even when you double there ammounts there no where close.

Forgot to take the source for this.
"Volume 57 not only breaks the all time first print publishing record of ALL BOOKS with 3 million copies. [beating Harry Potter and Half-Blooded Prince] Its first week sale of 1,690,932 copies also breaks all time first week sales of all books
By contract, Naruto also released on the same day, and pull in its usual number but still finishes as a distant 2nd with 736,467 copies."
At One Point ALL 56 volumes where on the weekly 200

I don't think thats happened before but i could be wrong.
Forgot to Take source.
“In addition, OP also holds the record for quickest to reach 100 million by both time [7 years] and volumes [35th for on-going series, Slam Dunk technically did it with only 31 volumes but it took 12 years, 4 years after series ends, same with Touch], and has broke first print publication 6 times. Vol 24 - 27 [broke 4 consecutive times], Vol 56 and now 57. “

Another Source i didnt get but here you go.
“ JoJoHot, arguably the largest Chinese manga/anime forum and fan translation site which currently have 374,470 members just had a survey up in their OP section. (its their feature section, with more threads and posts than either Naruto and Bleach, in fact its section has more than 120,000 posts more than second place Naruto sub-forum)
The survey is to check the AGE DEMOGRAPHIC of its members who reads OP.
As the survey currently stand, with over 1800 votes, 90% of the votes show that they are at least 21 years or OLDER. Among them, 49.7% voted 26 years or OLDER and 8.5% voted 31 or older.
similar result was release by Oricon in Japan yearly and OP dominated almost all age demographic as well, while Naruto and Bleach both fading as demographic gets older. “
Following on this i seen the Oricon one that was held last year and One Piece was number one for everyone bar 1 if i remember.

I might start One Piece when Gintama ends. Gonna need a new weekly anime.
I l-o-l'd.
I might start one piece coz im running out of stuff that looks interesting/stuff with an actual storyline. Like everythign on myanimelist that i havent seen is some kind of high school crap
Pfft well you should all watch Epic piece then and then we can have some awesome discussions in this thread.
please do. Then i can talk a out it on here D;
Do it. i wanted to rewatch it so my excuse to do so.
Jord watched a bunch of it dunno if ever carried it on and paul dropped it cos of the animation after 7 eps it was =/ have to keep in mind this was out in 1997 not 2000+ like naru-bleach. still looked awesome and keeps getting better.
Also there is a recap ova out tommoz. will have to wait for it to get subbed tho. covers everything up to current arc if u wanna watch that 1st to give you an idea but id suggest just watching all the eps.

I havn't watched it but i'm guessing i will do soon. The only thing putting me off is the amount of episodes.
I'm still watching kurozuka which is still quite good, nearly finished that now being only 12 episodes long.
