    Default New car

Well after driving for 2 weeks i've realised my car uses up WAYYYY too much petrol, At the moment i have a 1.6 focus and im considering trading it in for something along the lines of a C2. But people are saying get a 1.6 c2 because it will use less petrol ect?

it all depends on how far you travel aday and also the way you drive.
Lower gears and higher Rev = more petrol used and then theres other side of the scale Higher gears and low Rev's = less petrol used.

however with a smaller car then theres less weight then previous car which will use less petrol, to be quite frankly it will depend upon how you use the car everyday and the distance you travel day to day.

Woah, what Focus are you driving? :S The 1.6 Focus (latest model) my mum has is incredibly fuel efficient!

What are your preferences? What will you use it for? If it's literally just your car, a small one (KA, Toyota Igo etc). If you plan on going on drives with friends, getting athe next size above (Fiesta, Celica, Corsa etc).

I used to do around 100 miles a day.. I could have gotten a 2.4L, but I love my V6...
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

What sort of MPG are you getting? Unexplainable bad economy can be caused by a number of things.. blow in the exhaust/manifold? Could also be faulty lambda sensors.. Take the car round to a garage where they can plug it into the 'pooter and diagnose it and show the fault codes, which may tell you what is wrong (if anything) with the car.

i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!

Also, if you drive at a constant speed you obviously use the less fuel since you aren't needing to push the accelerator down as much
