Online/Computer Games

Can somebody explain the difference between the Computer and Online games sections? I know it's console gaming, but what is the difference between computer gaming and online gaming?

Minecraft is in the computer games section yet I would class that as an online game too due to multiplayer servers?

Would make a sense. The majority of games these days have an "Online Mode" so any sort of game could specifically fit into that. I know it means just online only for the sake of games such as World of Warcraft but they could probably be combined into one nowadays.

no you wouldnt, most people tend to know what platform they're for anyway

you would as then you're going to have someone asking a PS3 question and people replying with xbox and pc answers (such as commands for doing something)

having PS3 PC and xbox in the 1 section would just be stupid and confusing

Wouldn't they say if they are using that specific console in the first post? I can see where you are coming from also though. If it does go down the prefix way - We could even do images instead of text.
