I wouldn't call one message 'spam' was simply saying how much the group had risen since the event started, Also many have still left the group no problem even with the wired

The wired is really annoying though. Wasn't with your group but a few days ago I wanted to leave a group and had to keep re-entering the room about 30 times until I managed to leave lol :@.
