Default DAM SUP YO DAT [WTF?]

This is going to be a slight rant post.

I am really tired of going onto Habbo, and WoW and having people talk like "Gangsters". We all learn English for reason, as it is the international language of business. I don't say this to insult people that perhaps have a learning disability, such as dyslexia. I understand that because I have a type of dyslexia that refers to mathematics. So I see how hard it can be.

Why kill the English language, with words such as:
    • dat
    •da
    •wut
    •w0t

I am just listing a few as examples. I never understood why people talk like that. I used to type in shorthand/shortforms all the time, until i accidentally did that on a term paper. (That wasn't very fun!)

What do you guys think of this type of writing?

It doesn't really bother me as it's online and we can all be a bit lazy when we type. I have a habit of writing u instead of you, I'm perfectly literate it's just because it's easier to shorten words. What really pisses me off is when people write like that on CVs etc, just last week someone handed in a CV at my work with around 50 grammatical errors and spelling mistakes!
Basically, as long as people don't write like that normally I don't really mind, I suppose it can teach bad habits writing like that though.

My ex is from Barnsley, so I have people on my Facebook list from there now. Anyway, I've only recently noticed it and it's began annoying me a fair bit (I know it's not just people from there, but they're the only ones who do it on my list). They just keep spelling words wrong purposely.

    The words I've noticed are:

    'buaring' for 'boring'
    'Neaw' for 'no'

It's shorter and easier just to spell them properly?

Depends who I am around for periods of time. If I spend a long time in chat rooms or on habbo, the way I type will change.

I suppose it can't be helped with some people.

I think most of the time it's down to age. I used to see it a lot on my social networking sites when I was younger, but these days, most people have grown out of it. It dies down over time.

The only time I write like that is when I'm trying to be annoying and stupid on purpose:

    "u ded?"
    "yh"

I usually don't mind unless they make the word longer such as yooh instead of you.
