Habbo was much larger back in the day so naturally fansites attracted more people. I have to disagree about the need for them though. It seems they're more important now, considering they do 90% of the events. They also do badges too, something which was very exclusive back in the day.

Old fansites dies and new one comes along. Though fansites are not like it use to be of course. Habbox is doing great compared of a few fansites I have seen.

I'm not really suprised, a lot of new sites don't last because they can't compete with the means of Habbox and other sites that have been around for years.

It doesn't really come as a surprise at all. Habbo doesn't seem that popular anymore so there doesn't seem to be much of a need for fansites which is quite sad as back in the day habbo and fansites where striving.

It does make me laugh how people try to start new fansites up by basically offering the exact same content that already existing fansites offer. No surprise they don't go the distance.

Habbo is dying and so are fansites. So it's not a surprise.

Not to mention the site was really crappy, and the mods & admins of the place got butt-hurt over every single little thing that didn't go their way.

it's a shame really that no-one seems to want to support new fansites. when one closes it should be a negative, not a positive. they might not get it right all the time, but they are still a positive area of habbo.

we might not think setting one up is a good idea, but no wonder the community is so toxic right now if everyone is so fast to shoot down people's projects. don't let being behind a monitor stop you from being a decent person.

not aimed at everyone here, just the some of the posts that bluntly disregard or (worse) laugh at someones work, be it in cool rooms, this thread or the fansite section.
