    Default Module choices

Sooo yeah for those of you who attend university, what are your module choices and have you changed any of them in these first few weeks? I was doing (out of 6) 3 philosophy, 2 politics and 1 economics modules but i've swapped as one of the philosophy modules scared me with formulas so I am doing 1 economics, 1 philosophy and 4 politics modules this year (i think).

Had loads of trouble changing them as when I swapped with the office, it'd turn out that it clashed with another so i've literally been enlisted in quite a few modules this week but now it's finally sorted. One cool thing that took me by surprise was that the module on the British constitution/parliament i'm taking actually has a trip (about time for 9k a year) and it's taught by a peer (sitting member of the House of Lords) which makes me feel strangely small when i'm sitting infront of him in his office.

so my modules i'm doing this year (that are confirmed) are...

    British Constitution & Parliament
    EU Politics and Institutions
    Contemporary Ethics
    Economics of Government

You? Have you swapped modules or even courses this year?

in my first year so my choices were fixed, other than possible optional extra ones in my lent term, but my modules this year are

    Michaelmas:

    Differential equations
    Vectors & matrices
    Groups
    Numbers & Sets

    Lent:

    Analysis 1
    Vector calculus
    Probability
    Dynamics & relativity

don't rly fancy doing the extra ones in lent though because it already feels like a lot of work to me at the moment without the prospect of 2 more modules added on

I planned to do a minor in theology but I hated my module for it in second semester. I came out of the first lecture and was near ready to be sick because it was all over my head. Thankfully in first year you did your last module in whatever, so I dropped it as a minor and chose to do a social anthropology module. I changed tutorials before as well because the phd student taking it was a cow!

Got to choose between embedded systems and software engineering. Software is a bit bog-standard so I went with embedded systems.
