    Personally I wouldn't make out presents to be from Santa. I wouldn't give them the belief that there is a Santa, or that he is real.
    As soon as they were old enough to understand I'd explain that it is just a lie which seems to make Santa seem like someone who has favourites with the most expensive toys while others are stuck with little - and that they can feel free to tell all the children at their school that Santa is actually their parents.

    I don't really want kids, though.

    I was devastated when I found, genuinely gutted, wanted to cry after the argument but my wife showed me comfort.

    thats so harsh! it is something for them to really enjoy though like at christmas fates and carrots and milk and cookies! it gives christmas that magical edge to it like omg santas coming tonight!
    if u dont want them to have that themself then obv thats fine but shouldn't spoil it for other kids too!

    I wouldn't actually do it paha - ruining Christmas isn't really one of my fortes.
    Though children find out and ruin it for other children all of the time as soon as they find out, whether you tell them to or not. :rolleyes:
