I always use shift... I didn't think people used caps for single letters, it seems like much more of a ballache?

depends how much i am writing in capitals. 1 or 2 letters is shift, words its caps

I accidentally put caps lock on sometimes and sort of go with it but apart from that I'll use shift

I usually just use caps lock but now my laptop automatically capitalises stuff like first letters of sentences and I etc so I'm kinda untrained

I use shift, I feel that caps lock takes a lot of time and the people I see using it type slower than a snail. D:
