I like History Books. The last book I've read was "100 Deaths for famous Persons". It's Awesome.

I often read to learn something new as opposed to for entertainment, so I love reading biographies, self-help books, travel narratives and non-fiction books (on lots of different topics such as philosophy, behavioural psychology, natural history, social science, and environmental science). I do read fiction occasionally though!

I've actually been looking for some biographies to read. Can you recommend any that are interesting?

Recently read a memoir called When Breath Becomes Air, you may have heard of it since it's quite popular. It's by Paul Kalanithi and unfortunately was posthumously released. He was a neurosurgeon facing terminal lung cancer - he wrote about his life, his family, mortality and what it means to live a meaningful life. It's heartbreaking but also inspiring, definitely one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Good one to get into especially at the start of a new year

I have to say that I wasn't a "real reader" until a few months ago (i have a passion for comic books and every kind of picture-book though lol) so it's complicated to sort a favorite genre
but well, fantasy books are nice, specially The Lord of the Rings!
I love those "fictional history" books too, like Mutiny on the Bounty and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas!! ^-^

I usually tend to read biographies/autobiographies/true story books.
