Christmas Charity VIP 2016 ~ Nominate your charity!

As you may or may not know, Habbox sponsors a Charity ever year during the Christmas period. During this period, all of the takings from the sale of the Christmas VIP go towards to chosen charity.


It's that time of year where we ask you to nominate the charity Habbox should should sponsor this year.


Please reply to this thread with your nomination and why it should be supported. The nominations will run over the next few weeks and the charity with the most support at the end will be our Christmas Charity VIP.

Cancer Research UK - It's a cause that is always worthy of charity, it has come a long way this year in its development and progression in finding cures for cancer and it isn't the last step it's going to take this year before Habbox has its chance to donate to this fantastic charity.

Last year we donated to Ataxia but unfortunately don't have the total

ya don't remember seeing a thread to say it had been donated/final total
would appreciate if anyone can find that would love to know

anyways don't have a nomination as got what i wanted last year
however i will prob choose based on ones that don't get much donations, think that's important and more meaningful

Can think of plenty of local ones but obv everyone isn't gonna want to give their money to something that only operates near me

Think a good one would be Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) who do amazing work around the world but recently with a big effort being put into Yemeni and Syrian casualties as civil wars tear across those countries and always seem to hit innocent civilians hardest

I've totalled up last years charity vip sales (only GBP transactions) so I've got this approximation on last years total:

£13 * 10 = £130
£7 * 7 = £49
£4 * 11 = £44
£1.50 * 19 = £28.50

Total: £251.50

if those totals are indicative of habbox's health then maybe a dignitas clinic for fansites

I'll back any charity, like the idea of lesser known ones, but if its Donkey Sanctuary then I'm afraid I can't take part - was going to say NSPCC but think it'll be nicer to use a completely new charity. @lawrawrrr; could you post the nominations from last year that weren't chosen (ones that lost to Ataxia), maybe we could include them!
