I wouldnt agree with artists being lazy theres a lot of artists these days who actually dont have any editing at all. Id agree with the technology comment though.

A lot of them start out by actually creating thoughtful songs but then start cranking out as many as they can for money.

    It depends on the moment.

I love old school more than the new music because it brings back an old memory listening to older songs.

I like both! Love the new stuff but there are some classics from the old times.

It depends what you define as 'old' and 'new' music. To some people 'new' music could be anything that has been released within the last month or so. 'Old' music could be going back decades, or just 10 years ago.

I tend to listen to music that was released within the last 20 or so years, dating from 1990 to 2010 with some occasional songs from pre 1990 creeping in. I also listen to more up-to-date things but much prefer that time period.

I also use Spotify, and when comparing my 'Top 100 songs' for last year and the year before there isn't much difference between those playlists. I would probably save £9.99 a month if I just purchased those 100 or so songs in iTunes to be fair.

I used to be a fan of that classic sound, but these days I vastly prefer contemporary music — there's so much more variety.
