I've left, but I still visit sometimes!
I mean it's one thing with music because most songs are on Spotify, but with films I think they'll keep DVDs going as there's not many actual good films or TV shows on Netflix (at least in the UK). If they keep DVDs, I think they'll keep CDs too.

just here to be political considering there's been a pretty one-sided viewpoint on here for a couple of years x
Hmmm, maybe, in the future, the CDs will just achieve a kind of "vintage" status, just like the vinyls, so they'll be released as the supporting (not the main) platform, just like the vinyls, and then they will be the favourite platform of the oldies just because the "CDs reproduces a sound with 58% more fidelity in terms of bass n' treble), just like the vinyls ??
I've never thought of this before! Really agree with it. I think it will be a collectible type of thing.Hmmm, maybe, in the future, the CDs will just achieve a kind of "vintage" status, just like the vinyls, so they'll be released as the supporting (not the main) platform, just like the vinyls, and then they will be the favourite platform of the oldies just because the "CDs reproduces a sound with 58% more fidelity in terms of bass n' treble), just like the vinyls ??
Pretty much.
There always has to be an offline medium in places where there's no internet or when internet interruptions occur.
i know a lot of people that like to have the cd for collection purposes. Do i think they'll be taken of shelves? Yes, but only in everyday supermarkets eg. tesco morrison asda etc etc. I think there'll be specific CD shops that the artist send the CD's to, they won't sell as many but they could still get good business from the collectors.
