The former showrunner and queer of folk creator, Russell T Davies, has claimed that gay people are better, cleverer and imaginative than everyone else. He claims this is partly due to the persecution many gays suffered in the past and the fact they had to create imaginative worlds as forms of escapism.
To me the statement is extremely bigoted and I feel if a straight person had made this claim there would have been outrage.
