Yeah pretty sure the argument of it all being about politics fell apart when Russia won their semi and came 3rd overall last year. People are perhaps likely to vote their neighbours because they've actually heard their songs (since other countries actually......... try? crikey) but even if politics are involved it's only going to be the juries and they don't totally rule it any more

this proves that a song CAN win Eurovision and it's not all politics. The top results were neither really political so that is very interesting. For Euronerds like me anyway.

we did very well in jury vote this year but more or less the same televote as last year which rly needs to be improved with a nice song

Ukraine was crap last year but I can still remember the tune and catchiness of it
