I actually think this is good symbolism for Brexiters and I think May has been holding onto this to announce just before Xmas as a bit of poisitivity for her year end.

I mean in the grand scheme of things I think most of us know it doesn't REALLY matter or make much difference.

As long as we don't HAVE to replace passports I'll be happy. They surely can't force us to pay the £70 odd quid to renew no matter how old the old ones are? Mine's until 2022!!!

I mean it's symbolic, but then that's really all it is... Symbolic... End of the day, passports still gonna cost a shit ton to renew as they always have done, and hey we kinda look like we have american passports now... and just THINK of the amount of queueing we're going to have at the airport terminal, it's a british wet dream
