Favourite British cities

What are your favourite British cities?

I would have to say mine are Liverpool and London. I haven't been to that many, but Leeds didn't really impress me, nor did Kingston-upon-Hull - but Manchester I have been but would like to explore more. I'd really like to visit Belfast, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Regarding Liverpool, friends from outside/visitors in the hotel I worked were always surprised how the city contradicted their expectations because of the bad reputation since like the 1970s onwards. I know in my own lifetime, it has *massively* improved. I'm proud.

Never been to UK but I will absolutely love to go to London

London used to be alluring, but after living there, I started to tire of it. Now every time I go back, I remember I don't miss it all that much. Still, it's a huge place — there's a bit of everything there. As cities go, it's everything you want. Sometimes the hubbub is a bit too overwhelming, though. I liked Manchester the few times I've been there.

i haven't really been to many for long enough to say that i like them. only ones i've properly been to is bangor and cardiff. although i visitied york last year and loved it!!
