Default Do you pack light or heavy?

I don't know why, but whenever I'm travelling, I always pack heavy. I just don't know what to bring, so I brought a lot. And I always bring extras expecting it to be useful (but it never did). That's why I have no interest whatsoever to go for backpack travel. Cause I will die. Hahah.

I ALWAYS pack heavy when going on holiday, knowing damn well that I'm going to be swearing the same 2 swimmers and never going to wear the 14 boxers and socks I've packed because I'm going to be in swimmers most of the time, but it's become habit now, I guess I think since I'm travelling thousands of miles away, better be safe than sorry eh?

If i've already been on the trip before, such as a camping trip for 3 days (I go every year) then I only pack exactly what I need, plus a spare change of clothes incase it rains heavy, but thats only due to experience that I only pack whats needed.

There's another shooting today, and this one was bad
I'm glad that we all hope and pray, but it takes more than that
We've been trying, we've been crying

I need to believe that people can change
Or else this life has all been in vain
What's the point of fighting if we're fighting for a lie?

I pack lightly but not light enough, usually I end up re-wearing stuff that I prefer over other stuff.

I'm going Sri Lanka the 27th and we're backpacking so it will be whatever I can fit in my new rucksack. Light clothes though = easy!

I always pack way too much stuff. I usually end up with 3 small bags, but still 3! The last two times I've gone on trips I didn't even take half the stuff out that I packed.

I always pack too much so I have a choice of things to wear and would rather bring toiletries/makeup etc I don't end up using than needing something and don't have it. I'm never over the weight limit though...

Have to say after travelling with just a back pack it was a massive relief. No hauling a suitcase around.

I personally think I pack light, but when we go on holidays (I usually go with my family) the car is literally full with stuff we've taken with us and I'm not sure why. For our main holiday, I'd usually pack my clothes (we go for 15 days so there's a fair bit), my shoes, my laptop and a games console and that's pretty much all I'll have apart from odd bits. On a smaller holiday it'd just be clothes/shoes and potentially my laptop, but it's not always a necessity as I rarely go on it when I'm away.

I believe if I pack light I can always bring more back .
