Hello,

a number of users are asking Forum Moderators to lock their threads, for example when they do not want further discussion in the thread.

Please may we remind you that although Forum Moderators may have done this in the past, we have now advised them that it isn't allowed to lock threads unless the thread is breaking the rules or turning into a serious argument.

Been able to have your own thread locked for a reason other than rule breaking is a VIP feature, and therefore allowing non-VIP members to have their threads locked at their request is defeating the object of allowed VIPs to lock their own threads.
