    Default General Election

Can we please have forum for it (possibly a sub forum under 'Current Affairs')? After the election, threads can be moved into 'Current Affairs'.

I personally don't see any need to as there's little other threads in Current Affairs. Seems all good to me.

Possible a prefix would be more suitable.

Current Affairs is really for news. At the moment, theres a lot of threads about the election which would be better suited in a new temporary subforum.

The majority of threads in the Current Affairs forum are politically motivated regardless, and to make something specific to the General Election rather than politics in general would be a distinction that would be kinda awkward to make in my opinion.

But if the majority of the Current Affairs forum is politics, giving it a subforum is gonna make the main forum look bare and inactive. I don't really see any reason why it needs to change, the description clearly says it for political discussion too so it should be kinda expected.

No point in further separating the forums. It's there for politically motivated discussion amongst other things, but I don't see why it needs a dedicated section.
