Lionel Messi - Just a legend and you need him
Wayne Rooney - He's doing pretty well at the moment and I am sure he's going to do well for England this year
KaKa - Just a legend at footballer and you know he's got that skill
Ronaldinho - He's still great, keeping up the speed and he works his way through the defence well.
Cristiano Ronaldo - It's just a fact that Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers.
Steven Gerrard - He has recently proved to be a good captain and works with the team well.
Carlos Tevez - Recently he's proved to be amazing as a Striker and he has that skill of getting through the defence.
Petr Cech - One of the best goal keepers around and it is proven that he'd do well
Frank Lampard - He's just such a patriot, he does his job as a midfielder.
Cesc Fabregas - I actually think Lampard and Fabregas would work well in midfield, good agility and skill.
Didier Drogba - He's such a great striker as proven for Chelsea. He also works well with Lampard pushing the ball up the pitch.

    Will

PS. Lolatu, according to the thread, the prize is nothing lol.

LOLatu for still doing it then ;P - Fixed it, thank you! (Inseriousity.)

    TEAM X - DREAM TEAM

GK: David Seaman - What can I say? A class and legendary goalkeeper; England and Arsenal haven't had a better keeper since Seaman left. Take a look at this video, one of the greatest saves ever. Amazing flexibility and great reaction.

LB: Lilian Thuram - Top class, you can trust on him to make a great tackle most of the time and his defending has saved numerous goals from going in.

CB: Franz Beckenbauer - I hadn't been born when he was still playing but I've seen enough videos and clips of him to declare that he is simply one of the greatest defenders to grace football. I do realise hes not entirely known as a defender but its what he got known for so I'll keep it at that. Beckenbauer has also proven that he can play in any position, after scoring over ninety goals in his career.

CB: Franco Baresi - A defensive genius, quick, agile - and a legend.

RB: Paolo Maldini - An all-time great; a perfect example of loyalty, after spending over twenty years in Milan - an absolute legend. Greatest respects.

    RW: Cristiano Ronaldo - As much as you hate him, no one can deny that Ronaldo is simply one of the greatest footballers at the moment. Quick, agile and skillful, hes got it all in him and he was one that I looked forward to watching when he was at United. Crazy footwork, crazy freekicks and simply brilliant. Take a look;

CM: Zinedine Zidane - Amazing. The master of football and a rightful legend, its just a shame that everyone remembers him for the wrong reasons nowadays.

CM: Johan Cruyff - A great player, how many footballers can say that they have a move named after them. Johan can, the 'Cruyff Turn', shown on the video below was named after him after perfecting it.

LW: Ryan Giggs - A great leader, very inspirational, an all-time dream team wouldn't be complete without him. A quality player, an idol and he will always be remembered as a legend.

FW: Alan Shearer - An utmost legend in my eyes, he never backed down and was truly a masterpiece. The perfect player.

FW: Ronaldo - A true talent, and an amazing player. The real Ronaldo, as he rightfully should be.

    My dream team, Awesome united

    1. Steven Hawkings as goalkeeper. This intelligent, very interesting man is an inspiration to many. But how will he do when the balls coming directly at him?

    2. Gok Wan - Gok Wan, a very strange character. Will he try play the game, or will he try and give the ball a new fashion makeover?

    3. June Brown- Dot from Eastenders! I heard she's good at kicking balls. This player is bound to get a few goals in. You know you'd wanna see Dot in a pair of shorts

    4. Amy Whinehouse - How will the fragile, anorexic, cocaine addict do? Will she last 90 minutes without a dose?

    5. Boris Johnson - Mayor of London, it would be interesting to see if he actually came in looking tidy one day, with his hair combed. This, I am sure, fantastic football player is the publics favourite. Hes the old experienced hand on the team, I mean we all remember this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWIUp19bBoA

    6. Star wars kid as defender cause he's hardcore

    7. Sultan Kösen because Crouch is good at football so I figured the world tallest man would be, plus he'd be awesome at doing the robot.

    8. Wheres Wally because not only does he have an awesome hat but I figured he could just sneak past their defence.

    9. Boobah cause Boobahs are kick ass, nuff said.

    10. "The Doctor" for when things go terribly terribly wrong....hello time travel.

    11. Rick Astley because he will never give you up and never let you down.

Rick Waller coz hes massive and nobody can shoot the ball past him. Ideally he'd go in goal.

Epic Beard Man - He's epic and he has a beard... 'Nuff said.

Ghandi - Foreign people are good at football

Terry Wogan - Legend. Could whack out his wogan to distract the other team, too.

Frank (of Donnie Darko fame) - Rabbits are cute

    The Tweenies - They're MASSIVE.

Mr blobby and Noel Edmunds - Best team on TV.

And finally, since I can't have two people, I'll just take one of the chuckle brothers.

Barry Chuckle - "To me, to you..." BORN to play football.

    Line-up

    1. George Bush - We've all heard the amount of rubbish he can talk! If he can confuse a whole nation, I'm sure he can confuse the referee and lead our team to victory!

    ---

    2. Anne Robinson - As George and Lennie say in "of Mice and Men" - "well she's got the eye!" She's really enough to send anyone off the pitch screaming just by a simple wink. Some compare her to Medusa the snake lady, while others compare her to nothing more than a crueler version of Noel Edmonds. I'll let you be the judge of that one.

    ---

    3. Michael McIntyre - As he famously said on Live at the Apollo - "skipping, although socially unacceptable, is actually a remarkably easy way of moving" As you can see in the video below (spoiler), Michael has obviously studied deep into the quickest way of walking. While he may help the team,I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who wants to see Michael McIntyre, skipping along the pitch with George Bush!

    ---

    4. Gordon Ramsay - Everyone's favourite TV Chef! His straight talking personality and strict rules would make him the perfect Captain for our team. He'd be brilliant - always being there to keep Michael McIntyre and other jokers in order. He strives for perfection in everything and believes presentation is the most important thing. What else could we ask for?

    ---

    5. Harry Potter - Well we all know he's good at Quidditch, but I believe a new-found talent of his would be football! What can go wrong with all his magic? Always being on hand with his wand if good old Anne decides to sit down for a rest! I'm sure he'd bring Hermione along to watch too... :eusa_danc

    ---

    6. Martin Luther King - In all seriousness now, if we really want a good player on our team, we need a great leader.. so why not chose the greatest leader which ever lived?

    ---

    7. Po (Teletubbies) - As you may have guessed, this is Keri?!'s contribution (I really don't want to take credit for this ) "Po has a circle on the top of their head to carry the ball around in and has some major skillzzzzz" I'm sure it would help balance too, in some way. Just look how well they balance on that scooter above!

    ---

    8. Green Aliens (Toy Story) - If you've seen Toy Story, you'll know just how annoying these green aliens are - and what a nightmare they would be on the pitch! "Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!"

    ---

    9. Sportacus (Lazy Town) - To be honest, just one quick look at his outfit and you just know how sporty he is! Just look at the video below (spoiler) and see him and his friends in action.. I'd love to see this dance once we score a goal!

    ----

    10. Elvis - Take a guess! A little less conversation, a little more action please!... to motivate his team.
