The Museum of Habbo - October Update!

[Following on from this introductory thread]


What is it?

• The Museum of Habbo is a collaborative project that aims to have all the furniture ever released on Habbo.com in one place, so that all Habbos can view the history of furniture, often seeing it in the Museum uniquely, as many go missing over time.

• Although it has one curator/owner, it has many helpers and even more contributors, the collections don't belong to one Habbo alone. The Museum is a series of rooms and grouprooms, this means those who choose to contribute, will be a part of the museum itself, but don't have to lose ownership of their most prized furniture, they're simply sharing it with visitors.

What's new?

• We've got hold of a couple of the unique super rares we were looking for, namely the Golden Man-Eating Plant Trophy & the Amber Floor Rug. The Watering Can trophy is still one-of-a-kind, little chance of completing the Monster Plant collection yet!

• We've also moved to a new, bigger Lobby/main room. It's got all the new guitar trophies and old-time classics on show, including new additions: Zon! Parasol, Emerald Trophy and Duo Bubbles Trophy. We've got the pirate, crystals, summer & mall ranges complete and up-to-date as well of course. (Except the Mystic Duck, (but again, only one of those about atm)

• We've started putting together a Photo Wall, we're looking to make this the largest collection of old photos in any one room on the hotel. If you have any lying around in your inventory, please PM me if you'd like to drop them down and contribute!

• The curator has nearly all the LTDs to date in one room, we're just missing these 4 items:

- Victor Vangoof Easel
- Yohand Comeere Easel
- Pillow - Silver
- Pink Dragon Lamp



If you have or know someone who has one of these and wouldn't mind contributing it (in a group room of course, they keep it!)
..Then please PM me, we'll then have a fully up-to-date LTD collection, for all Habbos to see, you'll be archived as a contributor too!

• Plans considered include an (often suggested) Badge Archive, with probably a few rooms dedicated to showcasing as many badges in existence as possible, we need high-rollers in this field to help us though, if you have an extensive collection and fancy dropping yours down, please PM! There's also an idea to create a Hall-of-Fame for contributors, does anyone think this is a good idea? Would you want to be in it if you contributed?

Can you still create your own badge cases or whatever. If so I''d be happy to drop any badges you're missing?

yeah, i don't have any badge cases spare, but if you'd like to pay for them i'll be happy to purchase them from the catalogue for you. i've got quite a variety of uk event badges from 2007 onwards.

I'll see what budget we have for this, I really think it's a good idea, but can see the concern about it getting costly, 3c x 1000+ badges, international ones too now post-merge, thanks

We usually pay the cost of making them, but so far only a small collection of rare-ish ones were done (Ideas comp/Hobba/Frank badges/Helper + X/Council badges etc) - gets costly going onward from there!
