Default Taking Inspiration - Ends 6th December

So, as some of you might know, I study film at University. In one of my recent lectures we were being spoken to by a director telling us where he gets his inspiration from and a little bit about how many directors work. If you didn't know this already, lots of films are made to look like art. Directors are often seen looking at the scene and comparing it with a photo or picture in their hand, they're trying to get the right feel for their film. He encouraged us all to grab an art book from a charity shop and just have a look. So I did, I bought a Monet book and I am genuinely inspired. For this competition find a piece of art that you think would look good as a set in a film, explain why you picked it.

This piece of art could be used as a film set because it looks amazing (I think it's meant to be in Hawaii). I picked it because it's got great detail and you could easily create a scene with this as the setting, having people sipping drinks and people in swimming costumes, surfing and having a great time.
