he said '****in' and apparently that is avoiding the filter when it's not, it's the forums censorship that's the problem, if the word was filtered correctly it would be '****in'.

is the edit/warning needed, it should just be a removal and a pm to management to fix the filter?

I really do get where you are coming from but missing out a letter from a filtered word is avoiding the filter. Most people know what are swearwords so the edit is fine.

I do agree that there should be something done with the filter though so it filters words no matter where in the sentence it is but i don't think it's a big issue.

Doesn't mean the word doesn't need removal, a moderator warning is just that, a warning. The person should know in future not to miss the 'g' off or face harsher repercussions.

SackRace acknowledged that the word was avoiding the filter as he made use of spoiler tags and put "contains swearing", however we don't allow this which is why it was removed.

I agree the filter is a bit naff, but theres not a lot anyone can do about it.

If the word was filtered then he wouldn't have had any need to put the spoiler and notice would he? He clearly knew it was avoiding the filter otherwise he wouldn't have put them there.

I still think it comes back to a flaw in the filter, **** shouldn't be wrapped in curly brackets.
