Best way to get it stuck in your head is to speak it, not just read and memorise it. Practise conversations from a set script.

Watch Taxi 1, 2 and 3. To memorize the accent. Then practice practice. It helps when there is a french speaker in the house (my mum speaks semi-fluent cause she used to live there) and just say ordinary things like 'Whats for dinner?' 'Can I go out?' 'Where's my t-shirt?' etc and have a mini-conversation.

    Kinda helps.
    goodbye.

Just learn as many words as possible so more sentances will make sense. Practice speaking every day and just practice all the time then eventually you'll be loads better at it, at the start of this year I could barely speak German even though I've been doing it for about 5 years now but now I'm amazing.
