Tipped to be the final one, and thank God. It's been run into the ground. SAW VI was decent, and a step up from V, which was extremely bad.

IMO the Saw series has just been terrible. To me it was like OMG LETS SEE HOW MUCH GORE WE CAN MAKE WITHOUT A STORYLINE!!!!! The first one wasn't to bad but apart from that they have been dreadful. Admittingly i havn't seen the 6th but i doubt my opion would change.

Well, doesnt really matter on people's opinions of them as long as the makers are raking in the money, which they must be if they've made so many!

I think the fact that the story line is awful has allowed them to make so many

The sixth was the best besides saw 1. Hopefully because of this the directors and screen writers will make a good ending to the series shame I can't go see it in the cinema >: (

The first SAW was the only one to be written and directed by James Wan, based on his 10-minute short, and it's a genuinely great film. Extremely refreshing at the time, although Saw is essentially an ultra-violent reworking of The Abominable Dr. Phibeswith Vincent Price. I rate them as follows...

    SAW - Excellent
    SAW II - Very Good
    SAW III - Average
SAW IV - Less than okay

    SAW V - Awful
    SAW VI - Not bad

I love the Saw films, Saw VI was so much better than Saw V. Saw V was a fail which makes me think that Saw VII will be too as the director for V directed this one. Not sure if it is the director but that's what I remember reading about months ago. If it's the director for Saw VI, could be pretty good.

Yeah, although the director hated doing the upcoming SAW. He was going to be directing Paranormal Activity 2, but Lionsgate pulled a loop in his contract and made him direct SAW VII instead, so when the film's out it'll be something most likely hated by its director.
