What topics are off-limits where humour is concerned for you? Death? Gender? Race? Physics? They don't have to be offensive - what do you just not find funny and why? OR alternatively - what do you find funny that others don't seem to?

Also share your favourite risque or crap joke.

I imagine it's different for everyone because as you grow your experiences can make certain things not funny where they used to be sources of humour. For example I have friends who in high school made paedo jokes all the time and now find them utterly disgusting because they have children of their own and have been changed by it. For me, the main things that are often joked about but I find uncomfortable are rape and domestic violence - but I still respect professional comedians who can carry disturbing subjects in their acts and use them well rather than just throwing it out and relying on the shock to be the joke. There's a world of difference between saying "hahahahaha punch your wife in the face it's great" and Basil Fawlty characterisations, it's a huge skill to be an off-colour comic and not just be a complete bell

Probably jokes about illnesses and the likes of cancer, plus jokes about recent events where people have died (e.g. a natural disaster or a murder that occured)

I don't mind most other jokes (although there's probably others I've forgot) as long as they're not meant in a bad way and they're not being said to someone who might get upset about it. But to me the things I said above are never acceptable.

If someone tells a joke well and in good humour then I don't mind. As long as it's not meant to-- and doesn't-- offend (unless the offended are just being plain ridiculous) then I'll probably like it.

I am absolutely fine with any JOKES, as long as that is what they are meant as.

I don't find insensitive jokes funny, like if a comedian were to make a joke about the people who died in the Nepal Earthquake or 9/11 or something I would turn the TV off and make an effort not to see their gig etc.

Sensitive "topics" on the other hand, I don't really love it when people make stereotypical jokes full stop, especially about women, but if it's in good humour then I'll pretty much just like shrug it off. Rape/domestic violence is the only topic that the first thing applies to as well.

Pretty much any jokes will offend someone, though (due to stereotypes etc).

The more insensitive the joke, the more I will like it.

Give me jokes about race, sexuality, sex, nationality, disasters, terrorism, religion, weight and death/murder/pedophiles anyday.

And that's moderate for me. If anyone knows of Roy Chubby Brown they'll know what I mean....
